CAT, documents its professional and social responsibilities summarized above with its rich and widespread publication activities and it also ensures that the publications are accessible. These activities can be summarized as follows:

Periodicals
The most significant representative of CAT’s publication activities since 1963 has been the MİMARLIK (Architecture) journal, which celebrated its 45th anniversary in 2008. The journal which is sent to all members of the Chamber free of charge is published bi-monthly and is a comprehensive resource which covers current matters, discussions, research and proposals related to the profession and actual special files prepared on specific topics.

The journal is followed and included in a number of prestigious international and databases. Members as well as writers both from national and international circles may contribute to the journal with their opinions and evaluations. The articles sent to the journal are evaluated by the Publications Committee. All coverage and visual materials of the issues since 2003 and all lists of contents (with titles and authors) of the issues since 1963 can be reached in Turkish with English summaries from the web address: www.mo.org.tr/mimarlikdergisi

In addition to the journal, all members are delivered MİMARLIK HABERLER (Architectural News Bulletin) and BELGELER (International Documents Bulletin) bi-monthly; where the former covers news regarding the Chamber’s field of activity mostly at national level, the latter includes international documents regarding architecture and related fields.

Moreover, regional magazines are published in Branches: GÜNEY MİMARLIK (Architecture South - Adana) BATI AKDENİZ MİMARLIK (West Mediterranean Architecture - Antalya), BÜLTEN (Bulletin - Ankara), EGE MİMARLIK (Aegean Architecture - İzmir), GÜNEY MARMARA MİMARLIK (South Marmara Architecture - Bursa), mimar.ist (İstanbul Metropolitan Branch), TOL (Kayseri). Besides these journals, many Branches prepare bulletins for their members.

Other Publications:
Books, which are the publications of activities such as meetings, seminars, conferences, congresses, competitions and awards programs organized by CAT or which contain current discussions related to architecture and serve as source books are also a part of CAT’s publication program. The catalogues of the Turkish Architectural Exhibition and Awards as well as the publications of architectural and urban design competitions held in Turkey including awarded projects and colloquium discussions, comprise the major non-periodical publication activities of the Chamber.
